  11. I am trying to send the following email to US Robotics, I doubt it will
  12. get through since all I have ever gotten was "auto response" email.  I'm
  13. going to print out a copy and snail mail it.  I refuse to invest more $ in
  14. waiting hours on hold.

  22. I am a very angry customer who is totally unable to reach you after more
  23. than a half hour on hold I was told that it would be another 20-25
  24. minutes! (I am in Calif)

  26. I have a Sportster 28,8 PC-card which disconnects frequently, I have tried
  27. EVERYTHING- your Fax on Demand, your tech support on CIS, your email - I
  28. doubt this will get through to anyone, but I'm trying.

  30. I have wasted DAYS on this damn thing!

  32. I've tried all the init changes, various Comm Ports and IRQ's.  I bought
  33. it as a Special Offer for testers of the new Beta MCI/Newscorp online
  34. service.  (I'm a sysop on Delphi and will be one on the new service when 
  35. it launches) I have had it for 4 months and finally took it out of my 
  36. laptop 2 weeks ago and went back to my old 14,4 which works fine.

  38. Before calling my phone company to come and check my lines I decided to 
  39. try another brand of modem "just in case". I've seen comments about 
  40. problems online in various places with the Sportster PC 28,8 card (it gets 
  41. VERY hot and I have a laptop which isn't sealed.

  43. I bought a New Media "NetSurfer for $100 LESS than I paid for the 
  44. Sportster PCMCIA.  After two days of use and over 12 hours with it I have 
  45. not had even one single disconnect!

  47. CDW won't take it back since I'm over 30 days. I don't want to get a 
  48. replacement - I don't ever want to see it again!

  50. What are my options? I paid $340 for it.  I have wasted days of effort on 
  51. getting the damn thing to work.  I've spend time on line getting dropped 
  52. off line as often as every 90 seconds.  I don't think I ever had a full 
  53. hour on line with it.  I have lost more downloads from the Web than I can 
  54. count. (Whereas last night on the "cheap" PCMCIA "NetSurfer" I downloaded 
  55. one file of 1.8 MB and another of 2.7 MB without a hitch).
